Adjustable Bed Benefits

An adjustable bed offers a whole variety of benefits when compared to an old fashioned flat bed. (even a flat bed with a memory foam mattress)

Have you ever really considered how much time you spend in your bedroom and in your bed?  There's more to most of our beds than just sleeping.

With an adjustable bed you can sit up to:

  • Read
  • Watch TV
  • Snack
  • Drink your morning coffee
  • Spend some time waking up and planning your day
  • No more stacking pillows

One cheap alternative to an adjustable bed is the mattress genie. You can raise your bed to many different positions and it's a great way to see if you'd like an adjustable bed without spending thousands of dollars.

Other benefits are to raise your upper body to:

  • Open your air passages (improved breathing improves health)
  • Prevent acid reflux (sleep through the night without antacids)
  • Relieve pressure on shoulders and upper back (so you can wake refreshed)
  • Relieve back pain
  • Sit up and get out of bed (it's easier to get up when your in the sitting position)
  • Help prevent snoring (you'll rest better and so will your sleep partner)

You can also raise your legs to:

  • Help prevent cramping (you won't be up at night trying to walk them off)
  • Aid in circulating blood from your legs to your upper body and brain (for clearer thinking)
  • Relieve stress on your lower back (you won't believe the difference this makes!)

How many times have you wanted to watch tv, read a book or just kick back on your bed but the pillows you stacked up just kept falling off or shifting and making your bed uncomfortable?

When everything was stacked just right, it felt great and the increased level of comfort and support made you want to spend more time there.

Now imagine not having to worry about pillows, because you're in your adjustable bed and you can raise your upper body to the "just right" position and get that comfort you were seeking with the stack of pillows.

Many times, if I'm reading, I'll raise the legs slightly to put the book in a better position on my lap.  Also, sometimes, you need to re-position so the light doesn't glare on the page.

You can do all of this with just the touch of a button on your remote control.  Can it get any easier than that?

There are many other benefits to be gained...and thanks to an entirely new technology, called iCoil, you can get a good night's sleep on an adjustable bed with a "spring" mattress.  Make sure your mattress has iCoil inside.  These mattresses are featured on QVC.

iCoil allows you to adjust your bed without the coils "wadding" up like they used to do in older technology springs.

Because they are pocketed independently of each other, you benefit from the instant recuperation that allows you to turn over without feeling like you're rolling out of a rut.

Also, when you roll back to your former position, you don't get the sensation of falling back into your mold.  The instant recuperation gives you instant support.

The difference in memory foam and coils is pretty substantial and since over 80% of Americans still choose to sleep on coils, you should carefully consider the merits of each.

For some reason, there are people who just can't sleep on memory foam or air products.  It could just be imaginary, but let's face it, if you're one of those, it doesn't matter what the reasons are, you just want a comfortable night's sleep
